In what could be described as the backlash of the disgraceful hijack of the gubernatorial ticket from the incumbent governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, the State’s Commissioner for Energy, Wale Oluwo has resigned his appointment from the government and renounced his membership of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
Oluwo who is an influential member of the popular Ambode government resigned from the cabinet of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the All Progressives Congress, APC to join the Peoples Democratic Party’s Candidate, PDP, Jimi Agbaje.
In a letter personally signed by him, Oluwo hinged his decision to dump the ruling party on the way and manner the October Primaries which resulted in the unceremonious exit of his principal from the 2019 gubernatorial race were conducted in the State.
According to the embittered Commissioner, the conduct of the primaries fell short of democratic norms.
In a personal messages to friends, . Oluwo said he will now be joining forces with Jimi Agbaje to free Lagos.
“I, Olawale Oluwo, will be joining the PDP to work with my friend and brother – Mr. Jimi Agbaje in the struggle to #FreeLagos#” he declared.
