Burnley Goalkeeper Joe Hart has opened up how he saved Paul Pogba’s penalty in the 2-0 loss against Manchester United.
A brace from Romelu Lukaku secured victory for United despite back-to-back defeats to Tottenham and Brighton.
Hart has revealed he was able to save Pogba’s penalty because he knew the Frenchman doesn’t just do the same thing every time.
Speaking on how he was able to save Pogba’s penalty, Hart told BBC Sport: “Yeah, Paul is very good at what he does.
“He’s a player who likes to feel what he’s doing, so a lot of people that would probably disrupt taking a penalty like that, but it doesn’t him.
“He makes decisions late in games, we see that. If someone steps off him, he keeps the ball, if someone comes up behind him, he flicks it.
“So that’s his game and i knew that. I checked his runup, you know he doesn’t just do the same thing every time.
“He sped the run up against Brighton, but I’ve got my own technique against players like that and today it worked.”
