Q: Empress Seun Aransiola is a musician who once led a musical association, this is really a mean feat by a female act. Beyond these, what more can you say of this diva.
A: Like you have rightly pointed out, my leadership qualities once earned me a seat as an ex governor of Association of Juju Musicians of Nigerian (AJUMN), Lagos State chapter. Empress Aransiola brilliantly produced what her colleagues called a display of good governance and excellent leadership qualities.She is a lady of song and disciplinarian. Her heart is full of pure love and clarity. She is a mentor, role model, great leader, highly talented and beautiful diva of Juju music….laughs..do you want me to continue…laughs…
Q: Thank you for those intimidating qualities. So, what was growing up like, how did it influence these qualities of yours.
A: Growing up was tough really, but all that have become testimonies now. Yea, no doubt , my past is responsible for what is today known as Empress Aransiola.
Q: Where did you grow up
A; Born in Ebute-Metta. Lagos Nigeria.
Q: How did you come into the music industry?
A; Started music at a tender age by joining the choir, I was one of the youngest in an adult choir and that was how I started. The entire adult in my choir loved me, in fact they were who normal take me home after every rehearsals.That encouraged me to want to press further in the music industry; I will say that, if I add the tender age that I started music plus when I became a professional artiste, it would be more than 20 years.
Q: For how many years have you been in the industry now?
A:22years in the industry
Q; Where and when did you start music professionally and who are your rule model if you have one
A; Every hard working /goal achiever person are my role model. I equally have so many mentors but most importantly my mother, Queen Ayo Balogun (the President of our Association). Baba Obey, King Sunny Ade, Late Emperor Wale Olateju, SSP, Admiral Dele Abiodun and all my senior colleagues are my mentor
Q : Whats your assessment of the music industry.
A; In my rating I will say we are doing well I will give us a 50%
Q; How many Albums have you. Mention few of them and their years?
A: I have five albums to date and six singles Eledami 2004, Jesu Mi Ose 2006, Iyin 2010, Igba Otun 2012 and Pastiche 2018The Singles are Baraye 2014,Iya 2016, Olododo lo 2015 among others.
Q; What can you say about AJUMN and you role with them in the past and now?
A; AJUMN We are the bedrock of the music industry we lead and others follow, we are doing great and we are moving with the trend.
Q; What do we expect from you very soon
A; Coming out with an album soon,
Q; Finally, how has the home front been
A: It has been Grace all the way. I am able to cope with the help of God because if I tell you that I have been in the entertainment industry for more than 21 years, a lot of people will say, so how old is she; however, i have Paid my Dues
