The traditional rulers in Igala area of Kogi state have applauded Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello for enhancing the security architecture of the state.
The traditional rulers led by Attah of Igala, Dr. Michael Ameh Oboni II at a recent visit to Kogi Government House, Lokoja thanked the governor for enhancing the state security, appoint Igala sons/daughters to key positions in his administration as well as provide quality infrastructure.
The monarchs while speaking separately agreed that Governor Bello is changing the narrative in area of peace and security.
The Attah of Igala praised the governor for turning Kogi state to a safe haven, stressing ‘There is peace in the state. If your are on the highways, you can see three-four miles ahead unlike before where everywhere is bushy. Somebody made that possible and the person is Governor Yahaya Bello.’
Collaborating Attah Igala, HRH Alh. Dr Usman Obaje said security is the watchword of the current administration, adding that Governor Bello has been taking good care of security operatives like Soldiers, Police and Civil defense on special duty in Kogi state.
HRH Obaje also lauded the governor for uniting Igala, Ebira and Okun tribes. ”The interaction between you (GYB) and Igala sons/daughters was a clear manifestation that you have united Igala, Ebira and Okun.” He explained.
In his own address, the Ejeh Olamaboro, HRH Simon Ujah said the state government has freed Kogi East from evil men called kidnappers, adding that the governor is paying Vigilante allowances to ensure effective community policing.
The Ejeh of Ibaji, HRH John Egbemi and Omu Ayigba, HRH Alh. Shaibu Okolo however warned desperate politicians not to truncate the peace and security of the state by spreading fake news and unintelligent propaganda against the government.
