We are aware of a conjectured write up and false alarm by the Kwara state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, under the supreme leadership of Senate President Bukola Saraki, claiming ‘some staff of a privately owned radio station owned by a gubernatorial aspirant have been engaging themselves in house to house collection of PVCs’. Understanding clearly that Mallam Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha is the only APC gubernatorial aspirant that owns a radio station makes it sacrosanct for us to properly situate things and debunk the unfound tales of the deceptive party and it’s confused leaders.
The latest outburst by the Kwara PDP over purported house to house collection of PVCs by staff of a radio station is thus a continuation of their “pull him down strategies’ in motion against Mal. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha, the Chairman Board of Trustees of Sobi FM, opposition stalwart and leading gubernatorial aspirant, which is dead on arrival like the previous ones. We wish to emphatically say that Sobi 101.9 FM was conceptualized by Mal. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha to cause a social rebirth and would do nothing inimical to a mandate it uphold.
Sobi FM is a radio station and a business entity separate from its principal’s political ambition and its staff have no business whatsoever collecting PVCs, we dare the Kwara PDP to provide evidence of their claims, because to us, the outburst is a fowl cry to retaliate the exposure of their political and governmental misdoings by the radio station. They may continue trying hard to malign Mal. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha and his radio station, Sobi FM. But that would neither deter Mal. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha from maintaining his antagonistic posture against political infidelity and misgovernance under PDP’s leadership that have left Kwara state on the backtrack among comity of state, nor will it stop Sobi FM from airing it’s pro-people contents.
It is a popular fact that the present crop of politicians at the helm of affair in Kwara state are serial liars that will always swim in the mud to gain unwarranted sympathy and unmerited public confidence and one of their major strategy recently, is orchestrating propaganda and spreading falsehood against dreaded political enemies like Mal.Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha whom have posed serious threat to the continuity of their misgovernance and gross maladministration of Kwara state. We aren’t unaware of how they have mischievously deployed their social media machenaries to peddle propagandas and label the person of Mal Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha and Sobi FM, since the radio station exposed their election malpractices during the 2017 local government elections and promoting social consciousness and political awareness which is threatening to sustenance of the political dynasty that has only subjected Kwarans to sufferings and abject poverty.
Since Mal. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha unveil his intention to run for the gubernatorial seat in Kwara state, which is largely welcomed with supports from Kwara across social and economic divides, the status quo and their co travellers have remained in confusion and desperately trying to stop him with cheap blackmails and even demolition of his house. They’ve also made ceaseless attempts through written petitions to the NBC, high wired networking to stall Sobi FM operations and even trying to use state machineries to gauge Sobi FM’s pro-masses contents which have always end in futility.
They may continue to wail and raise false alarms, an unarguable fact remains that the bark of a dog can never stop a flying aeroplane.
Signed: Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha

Aregbesola Camp Kicks As Osun APC Endorses Oyetola For Second Term

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun State has endorsed Governor Gboyega Oyetola for another term.

The party also adopted consensus model for the ward congress of Saturday.

The Chairman of the Congress Electoral Panel, Senator Gbenga Elegbeleye, at a meeting with party leadership in Osogbo, the state capital, on Friday evening said due process would be followed during the exercise.

Senator Sunday Fajinmi from Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency moved motion for the adoption of the incumbent state Chairman of the party, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, and the endorsement of Oyetola for second term.

The motion was seconded by Hon. George Jolaoye, a former House of Representatives member.

Oyetola and top party faithful in the state including former Deputy Governor, Mrs Titilaoye Laoye Ponle, Senator Iyiola Omisore and Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin who were at the meeting confirmed the adoption of consensus model.

Also, the Senator representing Osun Certral, Dr Basiru Ajibola, and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, while speaking on behalf of all legislators in the state, also confirmed the adoption of consensus model for the exercise.

Oyetola said the adoption of consensus was to prevent rancour and appealed to members of the party in the state to conduct themselves peacefully during the process.

The governor said necessary security arrangements have been put in place to ensure safety of lives and property across the state before, during and after the Congress.

But the camp of the former governor of the state and Minister of Interior, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, said the consensus arrangement was designed to edge out he and his followers from the control of the party structure in the state.

The Secretary of the party, Mr Rasaq Salinsile, and the former Chairman of the party who are in Aregbesola’s camp, said they were not aware of the consensus arrangement.

Also, some APC women and youths staged peaceful protest claiming that Senator Gbenga Elegbeleye Congress Electoral Panel did not carry them along.

The protesters led by Mr Rasheed Raji alleged that Oyetola and Famodun camped the Congress Electoral Panel.

They also claimed that party members did not have access to the panel and Congress materials.

APC Congresses: Ajibulu Wants Oshiomole’s Recall, Backs Southern Governor in Ekiti

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC), congresses scheduled to hold across the country on Saturday, party stalwart, Chief Segun Ajibulu has called on leaders to exercise restraint before dabbling into what may result into a collosal electoral doom for the party in coming polls.

Ajibulu dropped the hint against the lingering controversies trailing the credibility of the Governor Buni led national caretaker committee of the APC, to conduct foolproof elections.

He also expressed worry on the APC leadership arrangements in Ekiti state, rooting that the next governor should come from the Southern part.

Demands for the dissolution of the current national caretaker committee, peaked with the narrow margined victory of the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu at the Supreme court yesterday.

The 4 to 3 decision of the judges at the apex court had exposed the legal implications of the Buni led caretaker committee, in conducting unchallengeable elections.

Reacting, Ajibulu advised that the APC, through its leadership tow the safe track by calling back the Adams Oshiomole leadership to midwife pending congresses and elections to lend needed legal teeth to the exercises.

According to him; ” time is of essence and the only way to move with time is to return to status quo. We need to avoid every vindictive strategy that may turn our victory to waste at the electoral tribunals. And to achieve this, we all must be ready to bury the past, discard with ego and work our party to assured victory,” he said.

Ajibulu, who bemoaned the polarisation of the APC in Ekiti state, also called on every warring parties to shielth swords and come together in unity to see APC to victory in the state.

He prevailed on party hierarchy in the state to begin the peace process by zoning the next governorship slot to the South.

According to him, the fact that the southern Ekiti has not produced governor since the creation of the state, is a silent war that no amount of justifications can win.

“If we see ourselves as brothers, if we see ourselves as one, morality demands that we should cede governorship to the South in the coming elections. The governorship has gone round the north and the central sections of Ekiti and it is just fair to now consider the South.

“I also want to call on our politicians from the South to work together and narrow down on one or two persons to represent them and avoid multiple aspirations which result may be counterproductive.

“I believe the southern Ekiti is not in short of credible and knowledgeable politicians who can represent them and lead the state satisfactorily,” he said
