MEET MULTI-TALENTED PHILANTHROPIST AND ENGINEER WHO IS ALSO INTO MUSIC, FUNMI AYINKE WAHEED

Among students of higher institutions especially in the Southwest axis, Funmi Ayinke Waheed Adekojo is a household name. Thousands have benefited from her support and many more are still benefiting.

Her philanthropic works also include helping widows and single mothers many of who she empowered either by providing equipment for small businesses or cash to start something worthwhile. Through her Funmi Ayinke Humanity Foundation, FHF, she has been touching lives and continues to.

Only a few days ago, she came to the aide of school kids in ONDO State by providing exercise books for thousands of students in Akoko area of the state, to the joy of parents and traditional rulers in the area.

The female Engineer, who is a mother herself will always tell you she is what she is today because her husband has been there for her. A Fellow of the prestigious Nigeria Society of Engineers, FNSE, she also holds fellowships of many other local and International organizations such as Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers, FNIMechE, Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants FIMC, Fellow, International Management Specialists UK, FIMS. She also holds two honourary doctorate degrees from reputable Universities.
Her engineering company is reputed to be one of the most reliable with government and private sector clients.

Despite all these successes, she has also ventured into music. It was gathered that the music stint came as inspirations from God hence the type of songs she sings.

She started out as musician last year and her second single, I Will Make it, is already making waves in radio Stations in Lagos and Abuja. A few days ago she received nomination for Inspirational Song of the Year as well as Songwriter of the Year from organisers of West Africa Gospel Music Awards.

She writes all her songs herself and she has confided in friends that she has an avalanche of songs already written.

Fuji Musicians With The Most Fan Base

Fújì is a popular Nigerian musical genre. It arose from the improvisational wéré music, also known as ajísari meaning “waking up for sari”.

The genre began as a modification of a traditional Islamic style of music used to wake Muslims up during the Ramadan fast in Nigeria.

Ayinde Barrister is known as the originator of Fuji music.

Below is a list of Fuji musicians with the most fan base:

 Wasiu Alabi

Pasuma or Oganla 1 is a film actor, Fuji musician, Songwriter, actor and philanthropist.

As a teen, Pasuma loved listening to King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM 1) album ‘Talazo’ and he claims that the album inspired his decision to become a Fuji musician.

The 53-year-old Mushin, Lagos born has 614k and 19.8k followers on his Instagram (verified) and Twitter pages respectively.

 Saheed Osupa

King Saheed Osupa (K.S.O) is a Fuji musician, film actor and Hip Fuji creator.

Saheed Osupa started music professionally as a teenager in 1983. In 2008, he was declared the “King of Fuji Music” by Ayinde Barrister.

 

The 51-year-old Ajegunle, Lagos born has 439k and 8.1k followers on his Instagram (verified) and Twitter pages respectively.

Ks1 Malaika

Sulaimon Alao Adekunle better known as Ks1 Malaika is a songwriter, singer and performer.

Salawa Abeni

US based Gospel Singer, Olori Jesu, Drops New Album ‘Oba Ara’

Born Oluwadamilola Ayooluwa, but famously known as Olori Jesu by her teeming fans is one of the waves making gospel in diaspora. 
Olori Jesu is currently based in US and she has already carved a good niche for herself among her contemporary.
The sonorous singer who started playing music at very tender age just dropped a new album titled ‘Oba Ara’ which is going to be released to the music market soon.
According to the very talented singer of God, the new album contains many inspirational and heavenly songs that everyone should have at home.
‘ I want to enjoin all my fans across the globe to embrace my new album, I promised you that you are going to enjoy it. Oba Ara is the  album everyone should have at home, because it contain good songs  that you will all love to have at home’. Olori Jesu noted.
