The Movement  For Fundamental Change In Nigeria has implored donnors to the Coronavirus palliative to get their relief materials to beneficiaries directly instead of going through civil servants.

In a statement issued and signed by the body’s National Chairman, Oloye  Adegboyega Adeniji, the body believes civil servants would nit be transparent enough, if given such role to play.
” We appreciates the gestures of the Captains of Industry and the Private Sector towards the prevention, containment and eradication of covid 19 in Nigeria.
”Now that Lagos and some States are on lockdown, provisions for the survival of healthy citizens should be given priority in the management of the welfare packages.

”More so, we believe that focus should be to the general public, especially the poor masses who are their customers and consumers of their products” the statement read in part.
The body canvasses that Civil servants cum public officials  should not be  allowed to handle the donations because it will become business as usual.

” Donor agencies should release project funds to any tier of NIGERIAN government again.
”They engage professional project managers and seek government consent to implement. A vote of no confidence on civil/public officials.
”The donors for covid 19 welfare relief should access the poor directly, if government officials are allows   is distributing  gifts at all, it will be to their cronies and not the poor masses. The banks should just assist their customers instead of donating money to these profligate government” the statement concluded.
