In apparent need for the strengthening of his cabinet in readiness for the approaching electioneering period, when he is expected to seek reelection, Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has sacked three of his commissioners.
His current term of 4 years runs out in few months time.
The Governor announced the sack at the end of the State Executive Council meeting, held on Monday.
According to a statement by his chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, the commissioners affected by the sack are Prince Solagbade Amodeni of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Taofiq Abdusalam of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructures and Alhaji Ismaila Olurimisi of the Ministry of Culture.
Following the development, the Governor has nominated Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju, Mrs Titilayo Adeyemi, Mr Temitayo Oluwatuyi, Hon. Fatai Olotu and Akindotun Olubunmi Owanikin Esq as Commissioners.
The names of the nominees are expected to be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
Similarly, Governor Akeredolu has appointed two new Special Advisers. They are:. Hon Babatunde Kolawole and Hon Oyebo Aladetan.
