The Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has described the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the just concluded presidential election as the evidence of the acceptability of his leadership by majority of Nigerians.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, the Governor said he joins ” millions of Nigerians to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” stressing that his “victory in the keenly contested presidential election signifies the acceptability of his leadership by the majority of Nigerian citizens.”
According to the Governor, the victory belongs to all Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic and religious beliefs, even as he registered his optimism that “the next level promised the Nigerian citizens by President Buhari will indeed take the country to unprecedented heights.”
Governor Akeredolu applauds stakeholders including local and international observers, security agencies, social commentators and the media “who in one way or the other played a role in ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election.”
In particular, Akeredolu commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, “for conducting a free, fair and credible presidential election accepted by observers and international community.”
