Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Inspector Okoro Charles attached to Ikotun Division in connection with the killing on Wednesday, of one Islamic Scholar, Alfa Fatai Oladipupo.
The Page News gathered that the Inspector was arrested in connection with a shooting incident reported on 20/5/2020 along Obabiyi, Igando road, Ikotun which led to the death of 28 year old Fatai Oladipupo of Obabiyi area.
Lagos Police Spokesman, Bala Elkanah confirmed that the Inspector is being subjected to internal disciplinary procedures, known as Orderly Room Trial at the State Provost Department and if found guilty, will be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba for prosecution in conventional Court.
According to the Police spokesperson, Investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident adding that the Commissioner of Police condoles with the family and friends of the deceased even as he calls for calm.
Giving the assurance that Justice will prevail, he said members of the Public will be updated on the outcome of the investigation.
