Reverend Paley House wins the 20th Edition of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary Inter House Sports Festival.

In the midst of glitz and glamour, the twenty edition of Babington Macaluay Junior Seminary took place at the BMJS Sports Ground, Agunfoye, Lugbusi Village in Ikorodu, the School Location, on Saturday, the ninth of February.

The Sports Festival witnessed special dignitaries across all field of work, which includes the Chairman of LASMAB, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo and Venerable Victor Ayo Olusa, the executive secretary of LASMAB.

The Events started with Students March Past was won by Bishop Howells, with Reverend Paley coming second while Babington Macaulay house and Archibishop Adetiloye came third and fourth respectively.

According to the Principal of the School, Reverend Bamidele Osunyomi, a seasoned educationist and a disciplinary, The 20ThEdition was unique because it is not only about the students but because it also involved the parents .

“ This year is unique because  of the involvement of  the parents at the various class levels at the match pass , they were also involved in games like fill in the bottles  and everybody is happy about it and it is a way of bringing everybody together and celebrating the talents in our children ‘’

The Principal also declared there is need to upgrade the School’s Sport ground to a mini stadium.

“The reason we need the mini stadium is that we are trying to bring cricket, badminton and other sports the students are only used to Athletics events, so if we are bringing all these there is need to upgrade all the facilities “ .

The Reverend finished his remarks thanking the Management of the Lagos State Anglican School Board.

“We must be grateful to our Lagos state Anglican School Management Board and the proprietors for donating a Multipurpose Sport Court for us, now the students can play table tennis, volleyball and basketball very well “

Speaking also on the occasion is the executive secretary of LASMAB , The Venerable Ayo Olusa .

“This is an opportunity to implement the spirit of Sportsmanship and healthy living not only in the life pour students but also our parents, it is an opportunity for parents to exercise their body’’.

Reverend Paley House won the 20th Edition of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary Inter Sport Festival with 20 Gold, 12 Silver and 23 Bronze Medals to make a back to back victory for them, Bishop Howells came second with 19 Gold, 18 Silver and 13 Bronze Medals, while the third position went to Reverend Babington Macaulay House with 13 Gold, 12 Silver, 16 Bronze Medals, The Best behaved house award went to Archibishop Adetiloye house with 10 Gold , 20 Silver and 10 Bronze Medals .
