The Nigeria Archery Federation staged General Congress, Entry Level training and Catch them young program

The Nigeria Archery Federation in her bid to take the Sport to the next level in accordance with international standard organized a week of activities which comprises of Archery Entry Level for Athletes , Coaches and Official , the 2019 General Congress and a catch them young session .

The Entry level training recorded over one hundred and four Sport Men and Women from ten states of the federation. The Nigeria Army, Navy, Air force , Police , The Immigration Service , Road Safety Commission , The Nigeria Prisons Services and Civil Defense were all in attendances .

Niger State, Imo, Kogi, Plateau, Oyo, Kwara, Benue, Ogun, Zamfara and the FCT completed the number of State at the one week events.

In the demonstration match, The Police, Armed Force and The defense Team were the leading team after several rounds of accurate shots on target.

Dignitaries at the Events includes the President of Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Gumel, NOC Vice President, Barrister Francis Orbih and the President of Archery,

Making a remark on the event is the President of the Federation, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, he commended the participants expressing his delight and surprise at the massive turn out and enthusiasm shown by the participants.

During the General Congress, the Board members officially rectified and adopted the Constitution of the Federation in accordance with global practice.

The events was rounded up with the catch them young session in which students from a private school in Garki participated in the Catch them young Workshop.

Engr Gumel encouraged the pupils for showing the desire for the sports and to be a good ambassador of the Sport.

The main event is expected to take place in April will witness a higher level of training while more participants will be excepted.

Xavi To Sign New Deal With Al Sadd – With Barcelona Clause

Xavi is set to sign a new deal with Al Sadd.

The Barcelona great will commit to the Qataris to June 2023.

However, AS says the contract will also include a ‘Barca clause’ which will allow Xavi to leave for his former club without a fee needed to break the agreement.

The former Spain midfielder is due to put pen to paper this week.

Xavi led Al Sadd to the Qatari title last season.

Tottenham Interested in Barcelona Defender Emerson Royal

Estadio Deportivo says Spurs are among a number of potential suitors interested in taking on the player, who currently plays his football at Real Betis.

 

The Catalan giants are keen to sell the 22-year-old and have put a £21million (€25m) price tag on the Brazilian.

 

Barca currently own 50 per cent of the player but have the option to purchase another 30 per cent from Betis if they so wish.

 

But Betis, who would like to keep him, cannot afford to sign him permanently due to lack of funds.

 

Emerson’s current deal with Betis runs until the end of the season, when Barcelona will have the option to sign him for £5.2m.

Barcelona Becomes World’s Richest Club Ahead of Real Madrid (See Top 10)

Barcelona have climbed above Real Madrid to take the number one spot in Forbes’ Football Rich List.

 

Real topped the rankings two years ago, which was the last time the list was published

 

However, Barca now have a valuation of $4.76 billion (£3.46bn) to take first place.

 

Manchester United (£3.05billion) have dropped out of the top three, while Liverpool have climbed three places.

 

Premier League champions Liverpool (£2.98billion) are in fifth, with Manchester City,Chelsea and Arsenal ranked sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.
